What is Cubs?
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You
will get a chance to try lots of different activities - swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting.
If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on
your uniform.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the
zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping
in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.
When and Where?
Wednesday Evenings @ ST.Anthony's School,
7.00 PM - 8.15 PM
Cub Uniform
- Dark Green crew neck sweat shirt (with all badges sewn on - see below for activity badges and where they are worn)
- 1st Park Gate Group scarf
- A Woggle with different colours to identify the Cubs six.
Cubs may wear the above uniform with group t-shirts underneath (as sweat shirt may be removed if hot).
We also strongly recommend the navy blue activity trousers for Cubs although dark trousers may be worn.
Smart shoes should be worn indoors and appropriate footwear for outdoor activity.
For hiking activities Cubs should bring the appropriate outdoor gear. In wet / cold weather Cubs require waterproof
jackets and trousers, hats and gloves.
In warm weather Cubs should bring a hat, sun cream and juice in a day sack.
For ALL hiking activity we strongly recommend a good pair of hiking boots, not sandals or trainers.
